Vaccinations and Genetic Conditions Linked to Aggravated Autism-Like Symptoms

FREIDIN · DOBRINSKY is investigating whether childhood immunizations and vaccinations are linked to autism and autism-like symptoms in young children with aggravated genetic conditions.

A recent case before the U.S. Federal Claims Court ruled that a young girl's underlying illness that had predisposed her to symptoms of autism was "significantly aggravated" by the vaccinations she received as a toddler and that her family should therefore be compensated. This was the first ruling of its kind.

Autism is a condition affecting the body's nervous system that can impair thinking, feeling, communication skills and social interaction. A person suffering from autism is often said to live in his or her own world, unable to recognize and relate to other people.
