Randy began his legal career as an Assistant Public Defender with the Broward County Public Defender's Office in 1993, during which time he represented criminal defendants in numerous jury trials and over 100 bench trials. In 1994, Randy received the award of Juvenile Public Defender of the Year. He became an Assistant Federal Defender with the Federal Defender's Office for the Southern District of Florida in 1996 and as such, Randy represented clients in hundreds of federal criminal litigation matters including white collar, Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization (RICO), and conspiracy cases.

After leaving the Federal Defender's Office, Randy and his family moved to New Jersey where he worked for a large prominent firm in its litigation department. Randy relocated back to Florida and worked as a commercial litigator in a firm in Miami. During that time, Randy represented clients in various commercial litigation matters and was lead counsel in the case of Thigpen v. Johnson. In that case, the jury returned a verdict in excess of $1 million for the plaintiff who had asserted claims for intentional infliction of emotional distress, false imprisonment, assault and battery.

In 2000, Randy started his own law practice representing clients in all aspects of civil and criminal litigation matters throughout the United States including the state and federal courts of Florida, New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
